Learn how to identify a heart attack and take life-saving steps like CPR and COLS (Cardio-Cerebral Resuscitation) before emergency help arrives. This guide can help you act fast and potentially save a life.
Heart attacks are no longer limited to the elderly. Due to rising stress levels—whether from academic pressure, workplace burnout, or personal struggles—more and more young individuals are experiencing cardiac emergencies.
Knowing what to do in the first few minutes can be the difference between life and death.
If someone is showing signs of a heart attack—like chest pain, shortness of breath, or sweating—but is still conscious:
Give Disprin (Aspirin) 325–350 mg Immediately
Always keep a tablet of Disprin in your purse or wallet. Chewable aspirin can help dissolve blood clots and improve blood flow to the heart.
✅ Ask the person to chew the tablet or take it with a small sip of water.
⏱ This simple act can drastically increase the chances of survival while waiting for medical help.
If the person becomes unresponsive, is not breathing normally, or you can’t feel a pulse:
Start CPR without delay.
Every second counts. Proper cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) keeps blood and oxygen flowing to the brain and other vital organs until emergency help arrives.
🔸 Push hard and fast in the center of the chest.
🔸 Aim for 100–120 compressions per minute.
🔸 If trained, combine compressions with rescue breaths.
